Happy New Year from Caster

We spend a lot of our time at work; whether we’re in the office, on the road, or working from home, the Caster team spends days and nights, sometimes weekends too working to deliver to our clients who are in Europe, Boston, Chicago, Seattle, California and sometimes Beijing.

As the year ends, I’ve been reflecting on all that work, on this particular group of people and the work that we do every day. This year has been a tough one but at Caster, it’s been a strong year of growth and learning. We’ve added some incredible talent and expertise to our team that’s helped our existing clients get stronger and better and brought us new opportunities.

I didn’t always think I would work in this business. In the early days of my career, I wasn’t sure I even liked the idea of working in technology. And even though the industry and the work has grown on me over the years, it’s really the people that make doing this job every day worth it.

It is a rare thing, to have a group of people who are focused and dedicated and who you know have your back. People who will pitch in, step up, and surprise you at every turn – people who you still despite if being forced to spend 40-50 hours a week (at least) together. It’s a lucky thing, to work with a group of people who you call coworkers, but who actually are your friends. And even luckier that you work for someone who values people over profits and constantly recognizes and supports the group of people who come to work for her every day.

So as we close 2016, I am grateful to everyone here at Caster, to our boss Kim and all our clients who have made this a crazy, sometimes maddening but never boring, and definitely successful year. I am filled with gratitude for all of it, and can’t wait to see what 2017 holds.

(CES. First it holds CES. Which is where you’ll find half the Caster crew in just a few days! Vegas, baby!)

Happy New Year, everyone!
