Hiring Public Relations Professional: Account Coordinator (AC)

This individual (or individuals) will play a key role in developing and implementing public relations and social media programs for a range of clients in consumer and business technology including smart home, IoT, mobile, gaming, digital health and automotive. This person will be a cornerstone of product launches, media relations, social media, event marketing, and more. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with experience in media relations who thrives in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities. This person is proactive, collaborative, agile, creative and has a solid understanding of social media as a communications tactic We’re looking for someone who has strong verbal and written communication skills, has excellent time management skills and is a meticulous organizer who can and will multi-task and is interested in building their career with a fun and fast-paced team.

Account Coordinator (AC) and Senior Account Coordinator (SAC) Responsibilities:

PR

  • Serve as day-to-day contact for media/influencers; share knowledge
  • Conduct outreach relevant to PR, social media and/or other campaign tactics
  • Media list creation and maintenance
  • Contribute to brainstorms & strategic campaign development
  • Begin to develop and nurture network of media contacts
  • Provide timely and in-depth analysis of press and social media coverage results & trends
  • (AC) Write award entries, product descriptions, blogs, PR drafts, smaller speaking opps
  • (SAC) Writing: articles, speaking abstracts, press releases (also extensive editing)
  • (SAC) Serve as day-to-day contact for media/influencers; share knowledge
  • (SAC) Conduct outreach relevant to PR, social media and/or other campaign tactics
  • (SAC) Oversee management of reactive requests, proactively influence and garner coverage
  • (SAC) Product review pitching, execution and trouble-shooting
  • (SAC) Contribute to Caster PR needs – press releases, awards, case studies, PR opps for agency

Social Media

  • Assist in implementing digital/social media tactics as directed
  • Amplify/promote news on social properties
  • Updating & maintaining social editorial calendar
  • Understanding of the top social platforms
  • Provide timely and in-depth analysis reports of press and social media coverage results & trends
  • Contribute to/or manage Caster social media program for Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn
  • (SAC) Manage and/or support on multiple social accounts for inbound/outbound organic, paid and opportunistic social media
  • (SAC) Develop and nurture social media network for personal brand as well as client brands
  • (SAC) Content planning (cross-client) including daily entries on multiple platforms, engagement to social entries
      • Organic or paid — daily social postings per client contracts
      • Engagement with key audiences including media, partners, vendors, and more.
      • Develop supportive content, media interaction, news and information to engage with key audiences.
      • Management and support of AC team and their deliverables into senior team
  • (SAC) Deliver Tier 1 social media hits
  • (SAC) Create high-level digital/social media strategies and messaging that are integrated into communication plans
  • (SAC)Manage paid social campaigns/advertising (paid/views/shares), SEO (page rank/authority/keywords/search), web marketing (traffic/visits/web referrals/CPC), digital marketing (Lead gen) and associated budgets for paid programs.

Qualifications:

  • AC: At least 6 months of full-time experience in PR, social media communications for agency or corporate position.
  • SAC: 12+ months full-time experience in PR, social media communications for agency or corporate position. Strong written and verbal skills (3 writing samples required)
  • Strong organizational skills & ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, and meet deadlines
  • Superior writing, editing skills (written & developed press and client-ready materials)
  • Strong presentation & research skills
  • Establishing professional social media presence
  • Proficiency in computers & standard office applications (Office, Adobe, Slack, Tweetdeck, Facebook, Meltwater, or a combination of these.)
  • Bachelor’s degree or above preferred in PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or related field
