Entry-Level Public Relations Position (2 available)

This individual will play a key role in supporting integrated communications programs for consumer-focused clients in fields such as technology, consumer electronics, and travel. At Caster Communications, this person will have the opportunity to work on everything from product launches to proactive influencer’s campaigns, media relations, and special events, with support and direct communication from senior team leaders including the training needed to be successful in PR. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with foundational media relations, PR and social media experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities. This person is proactive, collaborative, creative, and has a solid understanding of social media as a communications tactic. We’re looking for someone who has strong verbal and written communication skills, has excellent time management skills and is a meticulous organizer. He or she multi-tasks effectively and is interested in building their career with a fun and fast-paced team.


Media and Influencer Engagement

  • Serve as day-to-day contact for media/influencers; share knowledge
  • Conduct outreach relevant to PR, social media and/or other campaign tactics
  • Proactively influence and garner coverage for clients
  • Product review pitching, execution and trouble-shooting
  • Media list maintenance
  • Contribute to brainstorms & strategic campaign development
  • Begin to develop and nurture network of media contacts
  • Provide timely and in-depth analysis of press and social media coverage results & trends

Digital & Social Media Acumen

  • Assist in creating and implementing digital/social media strategies that are integrated into communication plans
  • Amplify/promote news on social properties; update & maintain social editorial calendar
  • Have a solid understanding of the top social platforms


  • Contribute to development & implementation of communication strategies
  • Execute tasks associated with projects
  • Contribute to plans & own executing portions of a plan
  • Conduct regular client research and become aware of the industry
  • Develop an broadened understanding of our clients’ businesses
  • Be a peer resource, manage up to senior staff
  • Office administrative support as needed


  • Minimum of 6 months experience in PR and Social Media in professional setting (internship experience is acceptable as well)
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong presentation & research skills
  • Established social media presence
  • Has written & developed press and client-ready materials
  • Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in computers & standard office applications
  • Must be comfortable in a close work-space. Our office is lovely but will be undergoing renovations between 3/1 – 6/1, so the 8-10 person team will all be on one level of the building during that time.
  • College Senior, Bachelor’s degree level, or higher in PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field

***Will consider student graduating May 2017 if they can work 24 hours per week from April through graduation.


  • Salary will commensurate with market and experience.
