Wakefield, RI – June 15, 2017 – Caster Communications, Inc., an award-winning consumer tech PR and social media firm, received recognition from the PRSA SENE chapter for B2B relations and consumer PR for campaigns for current clients the Z-Wave Alliance, and Kangaroo PC, respectively. Caster Communications specializes in PR and social media for clients in the consumer, commercial and specialty tech markets including smart home, IoT, A/V and industrial verticals.

Caster was an honoree in two categories, including B2B PR for work with the Z-Wave Alliance, a member-driven consortium of companies supporting the Z-Wave standard for the residential IoT. The Z-Wave Alliance started working with Caster to refresh its image through a combination of PR and social media campaigns; the campaign garnered 10,000 mentions in stories between 2015 and 2016. Caster also saw an increase of over 200,000 impressions on social media year over year, and landed feature stories in top tier publications like The New York Times, Reviewed.com, CNET, Business Insider, Maker Magazine, CE Pro, Digital Trends, Consumer Reports and This Old House.

Caster was also honored for its consumer outreach through its work with InFocus, a visual and digital collaboration leader, who tasked Caster with launching the company’s consumer division, Kangaroo. Caster created a PR, social media and digital marketing campaign to introduce the Kangaroo brand and its flagship product, the Kangaroo Mobile Desktop as well as the category of mobile PCs itself to consumers, resulting in media coverage in Tom’s Guide, Venture Beat, BGR, Business Insider, Network World, CNET, Digital Trends, The Verge, Huffington Post, PC Magazine, and Information Week.

“We’re always working to craft winning strategies and campaigns for our clients that deliver measurable and impactful results,” said Kimberly Lancaster, president and founder, Caster Communications. “We’re honored to be recognized for our work in business and consumer PR categories and thank PRSA SENE for the awards. It’s great to see our team rewarded for excellent work.”
