Vanco International Embraces HDMI 2.1 with New Ultra High Speed HDMI Cables with Ethernet

The two new lines of cables provide integrators with future-proof solutions ideal for today’s full 4K, and High Dynamic Range installations, with support for resolutions up to 10K.

Batavia, IL – May 1, 2019 – Vanco International LLC, an industry leader in AV distribution and electronic accessory products, is pleased to announce two new lines of Ultra High Speed HDMI Cables with Ethernet, providing uncompressed feature support for the HDMI 2.1 specification.

As 4K becomes the new norm and 8K is breaking through, the HDMI 2.1 specification is becoming increasingly desirable to integrators in both the residential and commercial AV markets. Vanco’s new HD8K and PROHD8K Ultra High Speed HDMI Cables with Ethernet are backwards compatible and address the needs of today’s 8K installations and beyond.

Both series offer an uncompressed bandwidth of 48 Gbps and support resolutions up to 10K, plus 8K@60Hz, 4:4:4 Chroma, and 4K@120Hz. Transmission of High Dynamic Range (HDR) video is also possible with the new cables, as is support for the wide angle theatrical 21:9 video aspect ratio.

From an audio perspective, the new cables feature enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) for simplified connectivity, providing integrators with greater ease of use and support for the most advanced audio formats and highest audio quality for up to 32 audio channels. HD audio formats such as DTS Master, DTS:X, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos and more are also made possible with the new cables.

The Ultra High Speed cables have been EMI tested to ensure minimal interference with wireless signals. Ideal for gaming, the Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) reduces and eliminates lag, stutter, and frame tearing for more fluid and better detailed gameplay. The Quick Frame Transport (QFT) reduces latency for smoother no-lag gaming, and real-time interactive virtual reality. The Quick Media Switching (QMS) feature for movies and other video content eliminates the delay that sometimes results in a blank screen before content is displayed, and the Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) allows for an automatic setting for smooth, lag-free, and uninterrupted viewing and interactivity.

“Vanco is renowned for its long history of being first to market with the latest and most innovative cable technology, starting with the release of our original HDMI cables back in 2004” said Vanco International president, Mark Corbin. “With the launch of our latest Ultra High Speed HDMI Cables with Ethernet, we are once again ahead of the curve, providing our distributors and dealers with some of the first solutions that support resolutions up to 10K.”

Vanco’s HD8K and PROHD8K Ultra High Speed HDMI Cables with Ethernet will begin shipping late May 2019 and will be available in 1-, 3-, and 6-foot lengths with both PVC and premium metal connectors. Interested distributors can contact Vanco International directly for pricing and to pre-order now.
