InFocus Expands Lineup of Award-Winning JTouch Collaborative Displays for Education
The 65-inch JTouch INF6533e and INF6533 offer 4K resolution, an open Android platform, interactive whiteboarding, and Total Touch Control
Portland, Ore. – July 3, 2018 — InFocus Corporation (www.infocus.com), a leading provider of display wall solutions for collaboration and learning, today announced a complete refresh of their award-winning JTouch family of touch-enabled collaboration displays for education. The 65-inch JTouch INF6533e with Android is now available for the education market, with the INF6533 model also available for business customers.
Fifty-five-inch, 75-inch, and 86-inch models with Android and updated capabilities will be available later this year.
JTouch is a powerful teaching and presentation solution that revolutionizes the modern classroom by making curriculum more vibrant and engaging. Teachers and students can easily interact with anything on the display and an open Android platform that makes it possible to expand the display’s capabilities by easily installing new applications. Built-in apps include Whiteboard, File Explorer, and Web browser, as well as Airplay and EShare Casting, and Remote Control with a local network connection. Qwizdom Oktopus interactive education software will be included with all education displays when the full roster of new models debuts this fall.
Total Touch Control™, an intuitive system management interface, eliminates the need for a remote or buttons. Students and teachers can simply touch on-screen icons to switch between sources or access the home screen, applications, and control functions. The new lineup of JTouch models also allows for true annotation over any input: external PCs or tablets connected via wireless casting, HDMI, or VGA connections. Content can be frozen on the screen, annotated, and saved as a screen capture to 16GB of internal storage or an external USB drive.
All new JTouch models feature a 4K display with easy-to-use anti-glare and anti-fingerprint touch technology ideal for the needs of the classroom.
“JTouch is designed for the specific needs of schools, built to engage and excite students and improve the educational environment,” said Glenn Jystad, InFocus product manager. “With Total Touch Control and an open Android platform, our totally revamped lineup offers students and teachers a nearly limitless tool for engaging with each other and with their curriculum.”
The INF6533e and INF6533 are now available in the U.S. through InFocus resellers and directly from the manufacturer at www.infocus.com/store for $2,999 (INF6533e) and $3,449 (INF6533) U.S. MSRP. All JTouch models include a one-year warranty.
