Ui Supplies Celebrates Success of Sixth Annual BBQ Bash and Trade Show at New Flagship Location

Debuting their new flagship location in Plainview, NY, the event brought in over 300 dealers, vendor partners and industry affiliates for a day full of interactive product demonstrations, one-day deals, trainings and prizes.

Clifton, NJ – August 1, 2018Ui Supplies a value-added regional distributor of name brand consumer and specialty electronics for the metro New York/tri-state region and member of the PowerHouse Alliance, celebrated their anniversary and new flagship warehouse, training facility, offices and self-shop location with their sixth annual BBQ Bash and Trade Show on July 26.

The annual event was a huge success for Ui Supplies, bringing together over 300 dealers, manufacturers, architects and designers, allowing them to mingle, connect and share on industry knowledge and trends, receive one-day only discounts, and learn about the hottest new products through a series of interactive demos.

“We are over the moon about the turnout at our annual BBQ and trade show last week,” said Matthew Weil, CEO of Ui Supplies. “Given it was the first time we hosted the event at our new headquarters in Plainview, NY we weren’t sure if attendance would compare to what we have had in previous years at our Clifton, NJ location, but the support was over the top from both our customers and vendors! We pulled off another fantastic event thanks to our dedicated Ui Supplies team and loyal manufacturer partners.”

This year’s event featured more interactive demos than ever before, including a theater room with HEOS audio zones and JVC versus Sony projector shootout, Dolby Atmos room featuring Yamaha 11.2-channel AVENTAGE AV Receiver, KEF surround sound speakers, a 77-inch LG Wallpaper TV, and Fortress theater seating, Peerless-AV interactive digital kiosk, WyreStorm Network HD demonstrated on a 2×2 LG commercial video wall, as well as BrightSign player and LG ThinQ demos. The PowerHouse Alliance’s new A2V line of products were featured throughout the Ui Supplies kitchen. A Vanco man cave decked out with a ping pong table, video game area, and full Vanco brands AV system including a Beale Street Audio system, highly anticipated Spot for Dot voice-activated amplifier with Amazon Echo Dot, and updated EVO-IP HDMI over IP system, was setup for the event. The Vanco man cave was such a big hit with attendees that Ui Supplies decided to keep it up and running for ongoing enjoyment.

“We are proud of the brands we carry and close relationships we have with our vendor partners,” said Alan Malowitz, Ui Supplies executive VP. “This year we represented over 60 audio, video, security and home control manufacturers at the event in Long Island and dealers were absolutely loving the vendor interaction and quantity and quality of new product demonstrations.”

Guests enjoyed delicious food and refreshments from the popular OINK and MOO BBQ and exclusive discounts from all attending vendors. Every guest received a grab bag of goodies, but a handful of lucky ones walked out with raffle prizes including Yankees tickets, a Hikvision IP Camera, LG OLED 77W7P Wallpaper TV and more. Ui Supplies customers also took part in on-site training sessions including Cleerline Fiber termination lessons from Eric Bodley, Sonnen renewable energy storage training, and a session on how to expand into the lighting sector.

“Not only does our new Long Island location feature a large warehouse and self-shop area with active demos for our customers to enjoy, we also have an area specifically dedicated to run training sessions,” said Patrick Berna, COO of Ui Supplies. “The room was full all day during this year’s event, and we have big plans for the second half of 2018 and ongoing for continuous dealer education at the Plainview facility.”
