Laura has a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and public relations from the University of Rhode Island. She’s bilingual and was introduced to PR while working at a local nonprofit, where she managed the language school and its communications and social media programs. She’s a big fan of craft beer, and worked at Newport Storm Brewery (now Newport Craft) on its media relations and social program including launching a Snapchat account and engaging fans with unique hashtags at the local favorite, Newport Folk Festival. Keeping up-to-date with PR trends, Laura jumps into new projects to write, tweet, research and learn a new tech vertical in high speed, which has made her a valuable addition to the Caster team, where she’s gotten clients in Fox News national, VentureBeat, Consumer Reports, Digital Trends, NY Magazine, and more. Laura works on accounts including Control4, SurgeX, PowerHouse Alliance, and others. She was quoted in Forbes and has been published in industry blogs PR Daily and PR News. Follow her on Twitter.
Laura fits in with the Caster ski-the-East crowd but is learning to figure skate when she’s not on the slopes. She makes it to at least one tennis tournament per year and works on her cross-court forehand in the summer when she’s not reading science fiction on the beach. Some say she runs on high speed, but that might just be the daily double espresso.
Contributing to our track record of success is our amazing team. Each Caster team member brings his or her own unique assets and personalities to the table every day, and makes us everything we are.
