Abode Expands Smart Home Security App Experience to Apple and Android TV
March 6, 2025 – 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET – Abode Systems, the leading provider of DIY smart home security solutions today announced the debut of the Abode Apple TV app and release of an upgraded version of its app for Android TV. The latest apps complete the Abode app ecosystem and join the existing suite of Abode applications, which includes control and interface platforms across mobile, smartwatches, tablets, and desktop devices offering users a refined, fully featured experience.
Abode Apple TV App
For the first time, Abode users can access their complete smart home and security ecosystem via their Apple TV. The Abode Apple TV app delivers the same intuitive interface and powerful features as other platforms, allowing users to arm and disarm their system, view live video feeds from up to four cameras, and check device status – directly from their TV of choice.

Users can sign in to the Abode Apple TV app using their Apple device or manually, offering easy access to their security dashboard. The app also supports viewing recorded clips, displays the status of connected devices, and the control of select devices via “quick actions” which are managed via Abode CUE and displayed on the dashboard.
For cameras with 24/7 recording enabled, users can access stored footage by scrubbing through their timeline or jumping to specific events. With the 24/7 add-on enabled, all footage is securely stored in the cloud for up to ten days, ensuring users never miss important moments. Abode’s 24/7 Video Plan is offered as an add-on and requires users to be on either the Standard Plan or Pro Plan.
Upgraded Android TV App
In conjunction with the Apple TV release, Abode is reintroducing a next-generation version of its Android TV app. The latest iteration offers Android TV users a comparable experience to the Apple TV app with slight differences in menu layout and functionality.
Users can stream live video from up to four cameras side by side, with the ability to view timelines, access recorded clips and manage select devices. The app provides a seamless, fully integrated smart home experience that allows users to control their Abode system and connected devices directly from their Android TV.
