Alexandra Crabb
President | Caster Since 2013
Origin Story:
I knew I wanted to work in PR after my first internship at O’Reilly PR & Marketing in Dublin in 2002. Tech PR came a little later, and once I found it, I was hooked.
I spent seven years at ink Communications, where I was traveling to Mobile World Congress my second week on the job and working with companies across gaming, mobile, and streaming TV. It gave me a front-row seat to how bold founders and emerging technologies break into the market.
When I met Caster’s founder, Kimberly Hageman, in 2012, I knew I wanted to work with her. I began freelancing with Caster that year and joined full-time as VP in August 2013. Today, I’m proud to lead the agency as President in a true full-circle moment.
Why Clients Call Me:
Clients call me when they need clear strategy, not just activity. I help companies identify the right moment, the right audience, and the right message to move their business forward.
My focus is turning complex technologies into narratives that resonate with media, analysts, customers, and partners. That means helping leadership teams sharpen positioning, align stakeholders, and build communications programs that support long-term growth, not just a single announcement.
Through my work with industry alliances such as the Khronos Group, I collaborate with many of the companies shaping the technology ecosystem today, from startups to global leaders like Intel, Google, and NVIDIA. This vantage point gives me a broad view of how markets evolve and where companies can best position themselves.
After more than two decades in tech PR, I also bring deep relationships with reporters across the U.S. and EMEA and strong instincts for where a story will land and why it matters.
Off the Clock:
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me chasing new adventures with my family.
My husband and I also love soaking up all that little Rhodie has to offer, from savoring local oysters and hitting the beach to tackling home improvement projects, cooking delicious meals, and hitting the golf course. We’ve got a fun group of friends and family who are always planning new shenanigans, whether it’s pickleball, progressive dinners, wine tastings, comedy shows, skiing, or whatever new idea someone brings to the table.
I also stay involved locally, volunteering at my son’s school and supporting organizations like Bike Newport. Hosting dinner parties and creating memorable experiences for friends and family is one of my favorite ways to recharge outside of work.
Hot Take:
A charcuterie board is dinner.
