Alexandra Crabb

Executive Vice President

What do I bring to the table?

Nearly twenty years of leading global PR, content, and marketing campaigns for tech companies with a particular focus on startups and emerging tech brands.

My strength lies in creating programs that drive traction, elevate brand visibility, and secure global media coverage. Highlights of my career include taking PrimeSense, the 3D sensor technology behind Xbox Kinect, from stealth mode to mainstream recognition, ultimately leading to an acquisition by Apple. I’ve also championed brands like UniKey (Kwikset Kevo smart lock featured on Shark Tank), HealthSpot, AdaSky, Kangaroo Mobile Desktop, Niobium, Harpie, NanoLock, and many others, helping them achieve standout success.

In addition to startup work, I bring a unique perspective through my role leading PR for two influential industry alliances: The Khronos Group and The Metaverse Standards Forum. This work offers an inside track into big tech strategy and enables me to collaborate with industry leaders like Intel, Google, NVIDIA, and others. I have been instrumental in aligning diverse visions and uniting these leaders around a table to craft cohesive messaging strategies that resonate across stakeholders.

Since I’ve been doing this for so long, I’ve got deep media relationships with press across the US and EMEA and know how to tell stories that will get their attention.

Education?

Emerson College, MA in Integrated Marketing Communications and Suffolk University, BA in Public Relations.

What am I doing when I’m not at my desk?

I’m often exploring New England and beyond with my family, seeking out unique adventures and new destinations to discover with my kids. My husband and I also love soaking up all that little Rhodie has to offer, from savoring local oysters to tackling home improvement projects, cooking delicious meals, and spending time outdoors. We’ve got a tight knit crew who are always planning new shenanigans like pickleball, ax throwing, progressive dinner parties, wine tastings, comedy, and other local events. I also stay involved in the community by volunteering at my son’s school or supporting initiatives like Bike Newport. Hosting dinner parties and creating memorable experiences for friends and family is another thing that brings me joy and keeps my mind busy outside of work.

What’s my biggest pet peeve?

Fingerprints on anything. I can’t sit still looking at something with a bunch of fingerprints on it—hence, why touchscreens make me tense.

If I could retire tomorrow, I’d…

Plan events – but just events for my friends and family. I’d split my time between my condo in the South End of Boston, my beach pad in Rhode Island, and traveling the world. When not traveling, I’d spend time cuddling and walking shelter dogs, mentoring young girls, and cooking elaborate meals for my family.

In another life, I was probably…

Mr. Clean’s Twin sister.

I feel personally represented by this gif:

Because I spend a good chunk of my time (at work and at home) wrangling people with very different opinions to get on the same page.
