Boca Raton, FL — September 1, 2026 — Shelly Group, a global leader in home automation and smart building solutions, today formally announced the integration of Shelly devices with Brilliant NextGen, the company delivering smart home experiences that are easy to install, simple to use, and designed for the future. The first two Shelly sensors – the Shelly Bluetooth Motion and Shelly Bluetooth Door/Window – along with the Shelly Bluetooth-to-Wi-Fi gateway and Shelly relay lineup, are fully integrated with the Brilliant platform and available to every Brilliant user.  

Brilliant users can now seamlessly sync Shelly sensors into their system in two ways: through a direct Bluetooth connection with Brilliant Controls or via the Shelly Bluetooth-to-Wi-Fi gateway. Once connected, these Shelly sensors provide the Brilliant platform with real-time awareness of motion, entry/exit activity, and occupancy throughout the home, powering smarter automations and enhanced safety across the Brilliant experience.  

The integration will also extend to the Shelly relay lineup, empowering Brilliant users to control and automate everything from switches, outlets, and appliances to low-voltage devices, pumps, motors, and just about any wired electrical item found within the home. Scheduled for release by the end of September, the Shelly relay integration brings previously unconnected wired devices into the Brilliant platform, opening up a new world of automation and dramatically expanding what a fully managed Brilliant home is capable of. For frictionless access, compatible Shelly sensors are currently available for purchase directly through the Brilliant  online store with additional devices added as the integration continues to expand.      

Today’s announcement is the next step in a growing collaboration between Shelly and Brilliant NextGen. In the months ahead, the two companies plan to broaden their integration with additional sensors and functionality that will further deepen control and optimization across Brilliant homes and systems.  

The partnership was first previewed alongside the launch of Brilliant Max, Brilliant’s fully managed smart home subscription service, which includes a complimentary Shelly Bluetooth Door/Window Sensor with every subscription. Designed for those who want the benefits of a smart home without the configuration complexities, Brilliant Max delivers intelligent automation through pre-configured Modes including Away Mode,  Vacation Mode, and Home Mode with Night Mode available as well.  The included Shelly sensor plays a vital role in these Modes, expanding the system’s awareness of entry/exit activity throughout the home.
