Crestron Earns ISO 9001 Certification

Rockleigh, NJ – November 1, 2023 – Crestron Electronics, a global leader in workplace and smart home technology, today announces the company has achieved ISO 9001 certification, which is the foundational international standard for quality management systems (QMS). ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and has a global impact, as organizations in over 170 countries hold the certification.

Crestron’s quality standards are noted across the industry, and result in some of the most reliable AV solutions on the market due to their meticulous manufacturing process. The ISO 9001 certification is the latest promise to customers and partners, further reinforcing that Crestron prioritizes developing the highest standard of solutions.

“Crestron’s commitment to quality is an intrinsic part of our company DNA. By obtaining ISO 9001 certification, we are not only exemplifying that our practices are of standard, but we are committing ourselves to continued improvement in the years to come as we push ourselves to the next level,” says Dan Brady, chief operating officer at Crestron. “The ISO certification is a stamp of approval on our control processes and proves that we deliver on our promise to supply reliable solutions that are built to last.”

Crestron has published The Crestron Quality Policy which outlines the practices the company has put in place and to which it holds itself accountable. The company’s manufacturing process includes hundreds of procedures that have been recorded and are continuously improved upon. These include total alignment from documentation to training — resulting in consistent, well-defined, and regularly reviewed processes, policies, and procedures.

Crestron’s quality process is unmatched, as each solution goes through rigorous testing before it ever arrives onsite. Product testing happens throughout a product’s development, from early prototypes to the finished product. These solutions are tested to fail so a solution’s weakness can be found, addressed, and tested again to ensure the final product is durable enough to meet real-world demands. This process involves environmental simulations of extreme temperatures, maximum voltages, and impact scenarios. Crestron solutions are also tested for RF interference and FCC compliance.
