New Crestron 70 Series Touch Screens Deliver Best-in-Class Features for the Most Demanding Enterprise Applications

Crestron’s new line of on-wall and tabletop cloud-connected touch screens deliver workplace automation with mobile device integration

Rockleigh, N.J. – October 27, 2020 – Crestron, the global leader in workplace technology, today announces an extended portfolio of on-wall and tabletop cloud-connected Touch Screens for automation in the modern workplace. Crestron 70 Series Touch Screens support a broad array of applications and customizable interfaces to deliver the experience demanded by users today. The Touch Screens provide a gateway to control a variety of building systems, including AV, unified communications, lighting and building automation across the most demanding of locations including sports stadiums, command centers, classrooms, boardrooms, training rooms, and more.

“Getting back into the office is an important step to securing business continuity and productivity,” said Dan Jackson, Senior Director, Digital Workplace Products, Crestron. “Providing a seamless way to control your environment from a single point is expected in the modern workplace. Companies will be leaning on technology to transform and make smart use of spaces for the short- and long-term.”

The Best Just Keeps Getting Better

The 70 Series on-wall and tabletop Touch Screens feature a sleek, industrial design with a thin bezel and black and white finishes. The wall-mount version is available in 5”, 7”, and 10” sizes, supporting both mullion and glass-mount methods for a range of bespoke architectural designs. Crestron’s tabletop version is available in 7” and 10” sizes and features a cast aluminum enclosure designed for today’s modern spaces.

All models in the 70 Series offer sharper, higher resolution displays. The new proximity sensor detects motion to wake the screen up upon approach and can provide additional feedback to the broader room system, allowing for levels of customization not available before. In addition, native support for H.265, H.264, and MJPEG formats allows the 70 Series to display live streaming video from an IP camera, a streaming encoder, or a DigitalMediaTM switcher.

With Wi-Fi support in the 7” and 10” models, every space is now easier to connect. Improved light sensors and algorithms auto adjust the screen brightness, optimizing the user interface across bright, dark, or dimly lit rooms.  Rounding out the experience is a new customizable video screen saver to match the space or provide corporate branding.

Crestron’s new 70 Series Touch Screens also enable touchless control. Utilizing a built-in Bluetooth® beacon and the new Crestron ONETM mobile app, employees and guests in any workplace can control room technology safely, securely, and reliably through their personal devices. Crestron ONE automatically detects and extends the functionality of the 70 Series Touch Screen to a mobile device; securely controlling everything from lighting and shading to presentation displays.

The new 70 Series Touch Screens can be remotely configured, deployed, and managed at scale through XiO Cloud®, a Crestron service that provides building and space intelligence while enabling remote operations. Support and technology management teams can control any Touch Screen, provide live end-user assistance, push software and firmware updates, or confirm room status without needing to be on-site. And with the capability to send data back to the cloud, organizations have even more insight to device and space usage.
