Media & Influencer Specialist

Position Summary:

We’re looking for a Media and Influencer Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and knows how to craft narratives that get noticed. This role is ideal for a PR professional with 3-5 years of experience managing public relations and social media programs, ideally within an agency. You’ll take the lead on product launches, media relations, social campaigns, and influencer programs for a range of tech-forward clients.

You should be a self-starter with strong media contacts, top-tier writing skills, and a solid grasp of how PR and social media intersect. Essentials: a curious mindset, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to work with technical subject matter without getting overwhelmed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze media coverage, social metrics, and industry trends to guide strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to develop and execute account plans and client roadmaps.
  • Conduct consistent, targeted media and influencer outreach for news, launches, and brand storytelling.
  • Contribute to brainstorming and the creation of messaging and campaign strategies across PR and social programs.
  • Create high-level social media strategies and messaging plans that align with broader communication goals.
  • Cultivate media and influencer relationships to secure coverage, reviews, and engagement.
  • Deliver detailed analysis of media coverage and social media performance trends with actionable insights.
  • Develop and implement integrated digital and content strategies tailored to each client’s objectives, audience, and channels.
  • Ensure client KPIs are met and program deliverables are tracked, analyzed, and refined for continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-team collaboration and integrated campaign execution.
  • Lead and support content development including press releases, media briefs, articles, blogs, FAQs, and other editorial materials.
  • Maintain and grow a strong network of media contacts and influencer relationships.
  • Manage influencer programs across multiple platforms; understand platform audiences and guide strategic partnerships.
  • Manage workload, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to standard—both independently and by directing team members as needed.
  • Own account-level reporting and results tracking on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Write and edit high-quality content: press releases, media pitches, blogs, social copy, FAQs, and more.
  • Write, track, and measure social media content across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and more.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of public relations and social media experience, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Proven media relations skills with at least one editorial reference and successful placement record.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with tools and PR platforms (MS 365, MuckRack, MailChimp, Constant Contact, Eventbrite, HubSpot, WordPress, social platform dashboards, etc.)
  • A working understanding of analytics and campaign measurement.
  • A strong sense of organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Comfort working with technology clients and learning technical subject matter.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and ability to lead or follow as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible remote schedule (Monday–Friday, up to 44 hours per week)
  • Paid holidays, vacation, personal days, sick time, and wellness days
  • 100% paid health and dental insurance premiums
  • 401(k) eligibility after one year of continuous employment
