Caster Team Welcomes Two New Account Coordinators, Promotes Three Team Members
Wakefield, RI – June 5, 2018 – Caster Communications, Inc., an award-winning public relations agency specializing in tech PR, is proud to announce two new account coordinators to its rapidly growing team, Ashley Collazo and Meredith Shubel, along with the recent promotions of Alex Gil to senior account executive, Laura Shubel to account executive, and Kendall Burke to senior account coordinator.
“With more room to grow in our kicking new office space, our team is looking for new talent from our local community. Ashley and Meredith exhibit experience that will help Caster to succeed in supporting our clients in social media, content, and PR,” said Caster President and Founder Kimberly Lancaster. “We’ve been working diligently with URI to hone their PR and social media offerings and create resources that excite and entice students to stay and contribute to the RI tech economy. We’re also actively sourcing talent across the region while growing our own team across a wide range of global technology brands.”
Collazo started at Caster in late March, with a well-established career in the advertising and media relations field. After working in a supportive role at a media buying agency, Collazo was previously the marketing assistant at WFSB-TV, the local CBS affiliate news station out of Hartford, Connecticut, where she worked on all aspects of broadcast and digital revenue as well as grassroots and philanthropic marketing initiatives. Ashley graduated Pace University in New York, with a degree in media communications; as an account coordinator at Caster she will provide support across a range of agency accounts.
In her debut Caster blog, Ashley mentions that while tech PR is a new learning concept to her, the Caster team has helped her transition smoothly into the account coordinator position: “My coworkers are extremely patient and knowledgeable, making them excellent resources for absorbing information. I feel privileged to have landed at a company where dedication and appreciation so seemingly go hand-in-hand.”
Shubel is a proud May 2018 graduate from University of Rhode Island. Featured on the URI website, this young alum was a triple major who received her B.A. in writing and rhetoric, communication studies, and French with acclaimed honors including the URI Academic Excellence award for communication studies, the French Excellence award, and induction into Phi Beta Kappa. She joins the Caster team full time in June after fulfilling a 10-month internship and a short travel sabbatical.
When asked about her internship experience, Meredith noted, “Caster has been a great opportunity for me to develop my interest in technical writing within the fast-paced world of PR. I’m looking forward to working with the team full-time and taking on a greater breadth and depth of writing responsibilities.”
