Kimberly Lancaster

president/founder

When you open a PR firm with an SBA loan and four credit cards, you may have some doubters, but when you’re still thriving 20 years later, the bandwagon is pretty full. Priding herself on Caster’s stellar reputation, expanding client base and impressive accomplishments, Kimberly Lancaster has spent the last two decades working with manufacturers, associations, distributors and dealers across consumer electronics, smart home, gadgets, and IoT/IIoT technology markets. Priding herself on Caster’s stellar reputation, media relationships and client accolades, Kim’s ethics, dedication, and enthusiasm are core agency tenets. Kim’s dedication to Caster and its clients is rivalled only by the team she regularly buys lunch for. Available to all clients for PR strategy, crisis management and brainstorming; Kim manages the internal and external PR and media communications strategy for Control4 and oversees select legacy accounts while leading business development and agency management. A BA graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Kim also has her MA in Global Business Communications from Emerson College in Boston. Over the past two decades, Kim has cultivated an esteemed background in public relations and has worked on everything from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies to the path in-between including taking Control4 from start-up to NASDAQ. Kim is a member of the WBENC (Caster is a certified minority business), PRSA, CEA and CEDIA. Kim is an esteemed speaker, presenter and certified instructor, and teaches courses on PR and social media for multiple organizations. Kim has been named a top social media influencer for #smarthome, #CEDIA and #InfoComm, and is a winner of a Silver Davey Award, Alcott Award, PBN’s Women to Watch, PRSA Excellence Award, the 50-yard dash in both 5th and 6th grade, and recipient of the World’s Okayest Mom mug. Kim is the mom of Abigail and Maxwell, and two highly-neurotic West Highland Terriers named #MollyandMaisy. Her hubby is studying for the Court of Master Sommeliers which graciously allows Kim to expand her palate and imbibe in the good stuff all for the cause. A volunteer for the Narragansett PTO and Westie Rescue of New England, Kim enjoys beachside summers and slopeside winters, and is a wannabe farmer, chef, interior designer, pie eating contest judge, and dog hoarder.
